Maldita (Viva Records)

Zamboanga’s pride and joy and one of the most promising bands this 2011, Maldita is set to take the nationwide stardom. Their debut single “Porque”, which is a Chavacano-Tagalog song, has earned hits of more than 200,000 views on Youtube, and numerous airplays over radio stations in Manila. And now, their video of “Porque” is charting on Pinoy Myx Countdown.

The band is composed of Demz Espinosa (lead singer), Whey Guevara (composer and rhythm guitarist), Jimi Tristan Ong (base player), RB Bandiola (lead guitarist), and Mad Nubhan (drummer). The five members of the band had come from different bands, who are of different personas but share common taste on music of Eraserheads, Rivermaya and other Filipino alternative rock bands.

Their self-titled debut album is consist of 12 original tracks such as "Tulero", "Selosa", "Gayuma", "Sayo", "Ito Ya Lang Era", "Bahala Na", "Sana", "Bakit (the Tagalog version of Porque)", "Ayoko Na Sayo", "Crossroads" and "Porque (Chavacano Version)". The album is released under Viva Records.
